This travel assignment places you in the fast-paced environment of the AWH Emergency Department in Wausau, Wisconsin. You will serve as an Emergency Room RN in a trauma level II, 18-bed unit, providing critical care to a diverse patient population including stroke, cardiac, neuro, pediatric, and geriatric cases. The role involves working 12-hour night shifts, primarily from 11:00 PM to 11:00 AM, with occasional flexibility to start at 5:00 PM or 2:00 PM. You will be responsible for managing an average of 3-4 patients per nurse, drawing labs, administering neb treatments, and utilizing Epic for charting. The assignment offers opportunities to float to nearby locations such as Merrill, Antigo, Medford, and Stanley, and includes on-call responsibilities with a response time of 30 minutes. This unique setting demands resilience, independence, and a knack for managing change while providing high-quality emergency care.
